The challenge
Agricultural supply stores don't fit a generic retail POS. Stock moves in sacks, kilos and partial units; fertiliser and chemicals carry batch numbers and expiry dates; and a large share of sales go out on credit to farmers who settle after harvest. Off-the-shelf systems force the store to track half of that in a notebook.
Our approach
A POS built around those realities: multiple units of measure per product with automatic conversion, batch and expiry tracking on regulated inputs, and a customer ledger that treats farmer credit as a first-class flow rather than an afterthought.
What it does
Multi-unit inventory
Products stock in sacks and sell by sack, kilo or partial unit, with conversion handled at the point of sale.
Batch and expiry tracking
Fertilisers, feeds and chemicals carry batch numbers and expiry dates, with alerts before stock ages out.
Farmer credit ledger
Credit sales post to a per-customer account with running balances and settlement against harvest payments.
Fast counter checkout
Barcode and quick-search entry keeps queue time down during planting and harvest peaks.
Stock and sales reporting
Movement, margin and outstanding receivables visible per product and per customer.
What it changes
- Credit balances tracked in the system instead of a ledger book
- Expiry-dated stock flagged before it becomes a write-off
- Real margin visible per product line
